Have you Heard Good News?

It's called the Gospel and it means Good News and
It will Literally Change your Life!

The Good News is that You, can Live Forever because
Physical Death is NOT the End of Life as we know it to be.

This will be Explained Further Below, in more detail.

But in order to really appreciate the Good News,
you need to know and understand the Bad News.

The Bad News is that we are all gonna die because we have all sinned,
(done wrong - fallen short of God's requirement for perfection),
and the punishment for our sin is Death.
(Eternal Seperation from God and His Goodness)
Romans 3:23
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 6:23
23 For the wages of sin is death...

However, Death is NOT the End of Life as we know it... So, what is DEATH?
Death is a Seperation of the Soul from the Body into 1 of 2 Eternal Destinations. It is a Continuation of Life!

The Bible presents death as a separation: physical death is the separation of the soul from the body, and spiritual death is the separation of the soul from God.

Our current physical bodies at some point in time will cease to exist and when that happens our spirit/soul will return to God. Based on our decision in this life, some of us will stay with God and have Eternal Life and some of us will be seperated from God experiencing Eternal Death.

Genesis 2:7
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it.

The Bad News Explained!
This is the Bad News. Referenced from: Got Questions Ministries
The bad news is that we are all sinners deserving of hell for our sin against a holy God.

Sin originated in the Heavens by Lucifer who became satan (the devil), when he rebelled against God and then satan brought that sin before mankind in the garden. Adam and Eve acted upon that temptation and they too rebelled against God in their disobedience to what God had required of them, now sin and the results of sin which is death has been applied (credited) to the entire human race.

Our sin has kept us from His presence and eternal life. No one can earn his or her way into the presence of God because there is "no one righteous" (
Romans 3:10 As it is written: "There is none righteous, no, not one;). Our best human efforts to please God are "as filthy rags" (Isaiah 64:6 But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.).

The Ten Commandments reveal to us how sinful we are and the Bad News is that because of our sin we will die. The reason why the Ten Commandements are good, is because if it wasn't for them, we would not know how bad (Sinful) we really are and we would not have known how bad we are in need of a Savior, because our sin has seperated us from the goodness of God.

The Ten Commandments can be thought of as a measuring stick, and sin is anything that falls short of "perfect" according to that standard. The righteous requirement of the Law is so stringent that no human being could possibly follow it perfectly, in letter or in spirit. Despite our "goodness" or "badness" relative to each other, we are all in the same spiritual boat - we have sinned, and the punishment for sin is death, i.e. separation from God, the source of life.

Romans 3:23
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

In order for us to go to heaven, God's dwelling place and the realm of life and light, sin must be somehow removed or paid for. The Law established the fact that cleansing from sin can only happen through the bloody sacrifice of an innocent life.

Hebrews 9:22
22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.

Is hell real? Is hell eternal?
Referenced from: Got Questions Ministries
The Bible clearly and explicitly teaches that hell is a real place to which the wicked/unbelieving are sent after death. We have all sinned against God. The just punishment for that sin is death. Since all of our sin is ultimately against God, and since God is an infinite and eternal Being, the punishment for sin, death, must also be infinite and eternal. Hell is this infinite and eternal death which we have earned because of our sin.

The punishment of the wicked dead in hell is described throughout Scripture as "eternal fire", "unquenchable fire", "shame and everlasting contempt", a place where "the fire is not quenched", a place of "torment" and "fire", "everlasting destruction", a place where "the smoke of torment rises forever and ever", and a "lake of burning sulfur" where the wicked are "tormented day and night forever and ever".

Mark 9:48
48 The worms that eat the people in hell never die. The fire there is never stopped.

Yes, hell is real. Yes, hell is a place of torment and punishment that lasts forever and ever, with no end. Praise God that, through Jesus, we can escape this eternal fate.

So, What's the Good News?

The Good News is that God has provided a Way for us to Live Forever!
(We can have Eternal Life, Live Forever with God and enjoy His Love and Goodness Forever)
The Good News is that, God Loves You so much that He placed your sin (your wrongdoings, every wrong word, thought or action, along with your disobedience/lawlessness, etc.), upon His Son Jesus, and Jesus took the judgement and the wrath of God that was meant for you, upon Himself.

John 3:16 For God So Loved the World
16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

God the Father is Holy and Perfect in all His ways and we fall short of His demand that we too are to be perfect and Holy, for we have been created in His Image.

He Created You in His Image.

Genesis 1:27
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

We did not evolve from other lower forms of life. We were created directly by God to represent Him on the earth and have dominion over every other creation in His name.

Genesis 1:26-28 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

Having God's image means we are fashioned to resemble and represent God on the earth.

On the 6th day of creation, God said, "Let us make man in our image, according to Our likeness" (Genesis 1:26).

God formed Adam from the dust and gave him life by sharing His own breath (Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.).

The Good News Explained!
Colossians 1:15-16
The Preeminence of Christ
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things were created through him and for him.

Jesus is the Word of God and He came to this earth in the Flesh in the Person of His Son, Jesus.
The Eternal Word John 1:1-5;14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

The Word Becomes Flesh 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Jesus came to this earth and lived the Perfect Life that we could not, cannot, and to this day, are not able to live. He PAID the sin debt that we could not pay.

He paid the debt for us, He paid for all our sins by the shedding of His Blood on the Cross at Calvary, He Died for us in our place. He died our death, He is our substitute, He substituted His Life for us.

Colossians 1:19-20
Reconciled in Christ
19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,
20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

The Perfect Life that God demands from us was lived by Jesus Christ for us. His Perfection (Him living life perfectly according to the Perfect Standards of God), is applied to us, when we admit to God that we are sinners in need of a savior and we accept Him (Jesus) as our Lord and Savior.

We are credited with His Perfection. It's as if we lived the Perfect Life. When we accept Jesus as our Savior a transfer takes place in the perfect life lived by Jesus Christ and the sinful life we live. Jesus Christ's perfection is transferred to us and our sin is transferred to Him.

2 Corinthians 5:21
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

By believing and having faith in what Jesus did for us, that we could never do for ourselves, our sins are paid for. Jesus PAID our sin debt for us. Jesus then rose from the grave in Triumphant Victory over death and sin on the 3rd day just as He said He would and by this act of His and in our faith of what He has done for us, we, too shall rise in newness of life with Him. God has given us the gift of Eternal Life through His Son, Jesus Christ.

But in order for us to receive the benefits of this Gift of Eternal Life that God has offered us, we need to accept the one who paid the price for this gift. Jesus paid the price on the Cross. Your sins have already been paid for, there is nothing else for you to do to receive salvation leading to Eternal Life, just...

Accept the Lord Jesus Christ, the one who PAID for your sins with His Life, as your personal Lord and Savoir and have faith that he has actually done all that He has done for you, so that you may receive this gift of Eternal Life.

You need to Understand and Not Ignore This Reality...
Heaven and Hell are Real and it's Your Choice
were YOU will end up after this Life...

Because Heaven is NOT for GOOD People, Heaven is for FORGIVEN People.
HELL is the Default Destination of EVERY Human Being, because WE have ALL been Born into Sin and Fall Short of the Glory of God.

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Question: "What is the definition of sin?" Referenced from: Got Questions Ministries
Answer: Sin is described in the Bible as transgression of the law of God (1 John 3:4) and rebellion against God (Deuteronomy 9:7 Joshua 1:18). Sin had its beginning with Lucifer, probably the most beautiful and powerful of the angels. Not content with his position, he desired to be higher than God, and that was his downfall, the beginning of sin (Isaiah 14:12-15). Renamed Satan, he brought sin to the human race in the Garden of Eden, where he tempted Adam and Eve with the same enticement, "you shall be like God." Genesis 3 describes Adam and Eve's rebellion against God and against His command. Since that time, sin has been passed down through all the generations of mankind and we, Adam's descendants, have inherited sin from him. Romans 5:12 tells us that through Adam sin entered the world, and so death was passed on to all men because "the wages of sin is death"(Romans 6:23).
There are many people who think that they're going to heaven,
hope that they're going to heaven, wanting to go to heaven, desire to go to heaven,
who will be denied entrance
because their names will not be written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

The day is coming when God will Re-Create
New Physical Bodies
for Believers!
2 Corinthians 5:1
5 For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, (our physical body), is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house (new physical body), not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

God wants a relationship with His human creation. He does want to bless us. He wants a relationship with us and desires to teach us His ways so that we can become all He created us to be. He wants us to be with Him in the New Heaven and the New Earth.

What are the New Heavens and the New Earth?
Referenced from: Got Questions Ministries
The new earth will be the eternal dwelling place of believers in Jesus Christ. The current heavens and earth have long been subject to God's curse because of mankind's sin. This current Heaven and earth will pass away, and they will be replaced by the new heavens and the new earth. At that time, the Lord, seated on His throne, says, "I am making everything new!" (Revelation 21:5). In the new creation, sin will be totally eradicated, and "there shall be no more curse".

The new earth will be free from sin, evil, sickness, suffering, and death. It will be similar to our current earth, but without the curse of sin. It will be earth as God originally intended it to be. It will be Eden restored.

In the new heavens and new earth, Scripture says, there are seven things notable for their absence - seven things that are "no more": no more sea, no more death, no more mourning, no more weeping, no more pain, no more curse, no more night.

There will be no more tears, and no more sorrow. There will be no more separation, because death will be conquered. The best thing about heaven is the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

All Things Made New (The New Heaven & New Earth)
Revelation 21:1-8
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Our New Bodies in Heaven
Referenced from: Got Questions Ministries
We get a glimpse of what our resurrection bodies will be like when we recall Jesus' post-resurrection appearances. He still had visible wounds, and His disciples could physically touch Him, yet He was able to travel effortlessly and appear and disappear at will. He could go through walls and doors yet could also eat and drink and sit and talk.

Scripture informs us that our "lowly bodies" will be just "like His glorious body"

Philippians 3:20-21
20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

Indeed, the physical limitations imposed by sin that hinder our ability to fully serve Him on earth will be forever gone, freeing us to praise and serve and glorify Him for eternity.

Our current physical bodies at some point in time will cease to exist and when that happens our spirit/soul will return to God.

Genesis 2:7
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it.

What is our Soul?
The soul is the essence of humanity's being; it is who we are. It is the real You. The human soul is the part of a person that is not physical. It is your mind, your thoughts, your emotions, and your conscience. It is the part of every human being that lasts eternally after the physical body itself experiences physical death.

What is our Spirit?
The spirit is the immaterial part of humanity that connects us with God. Our Spirit is what returns our soul back to God, but whether we stay with God or not is based on the decision we are to make in this short period of time God has given us.

The decision we make in this life, (and we can only make that decision in this life), will determine if we stay with God, (Live Forever - Eternal Life enjoying the presence of God and his Love, Goodness and Blessings with no more pain, sorrow, guilt, death, negative experiences and a whole lot more), or not, (Eternal Death - Seperation from God and His Presence, Love, Goodness and Blessings filled pain, sorrow, guilt, death, negative experiences and so much more).
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The opposite of Eternal Life (with God in Heaven) is Eternal Death (without God in Hell)

The word of God warns about hell describing it with images of darkness, gnashing of teeth, fire, "the fire that burns them will not be quenched" Isaiah 66:24 and complete separation from God.

1 Corinthians 15:1-11 written by Paul the Apostle
The Risen Christ, Faith's Reality
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand,
2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you - unless you believed in vain.
3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.
6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.
7 After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles.
8 Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
11 Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.
He Died for You and He is...
Coming Back, for You!
Hebrews 9:27-28
27 Everyone must die once. Then they are judged.
28 So Christ was offered as a sacrifice one time to take away the sins of many people. And he will come a second time, but not to offer himself for sin. He will come the second time to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

John 14:1-6
Jesus Comforts His Followers
1 Jesus said, "Don't be troubled. Trust in God, and trust in me.
2 There are many rooms in my Father's house. I would not tell you this if it were not true. I am going there to prepare a place for you.
3 After I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back. Then I will take you with me, so that you can be where I am.
4 You know the way to the place where I am going.
5 Thomas said, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?"
6 Jesus answered, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me".
If You DIED Today,
Do You Know Where YOU Would
Spend Eternity?
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
The Lord's Coming
13 Brothers and sisters, we want you to know about those who have died. We don't want you to be sad like other people—those who have no hope.
14 We believe that Jesus died, but we also believe that he rose again. So we believe that God will raise to life through Jesus any who have died and bring them together with him when he comes.
15 What we tell you now is the Lord's own message. Those of us who are still living when the Lord comes again will join him, but not before those who have already died.
16 The Lord himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. And the people who have died and were in Christ will rise first.
17 After that we who are still alive at that time will be gathered up with those who have died. We will be taken up in the clouds and meet the Lord in the air. And we will be with the Lord forever.
18 So encourage each other with these words.

2 Thessalonians 1:5-12
Paul Tells About God's Judgment
5 This is proof that God is right in his judgment. He wants you to be worthy of his kingdom. Your suffering is for that kingdom.
6 God will do what is right. He will punish those who are causing you trouble.
7 And he will bring relief to you who are troubled. He will bring it to you and to us when the Lord Jesus comes from heaven for all to see, together with his powerful angels.
8 He will come with burning fire to punish those who don't know God those who refuse to accept the Good News about our Lord Jesus.
9 They will be punished with a destruction that never ends. They will not be allowed to be with the Lord but will be kept away from his great power.
10 This will happen on the day when the Lord Jesus comes to receive honor with his holy people. He will be admired among all who have believed. And this includes you because you believed what we told you.
11 That is why we always pray for you. We ask our God to help you live the good way he wanted when he chose you. The goodness you have makes you want to do good. And the faith you have makes you work. We pray that with his power God will help you do these things more and more.
12 Then the name of our Lord Jesus will be honored because of you, and you will be honored because of him. This can happen only by the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus wants to Forgive YOU of your Sins and Save YOU from
Eternal Seperation from God the Father and from Eternal Death
so YOU may have Eternal Life with Him!

However, YOU need to Make that Decision!
Jesus is Waiting on YOU!
Revelation 21:1-5
All Things Made New
21 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.

4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."
